An Open Invitation To Air Traffic Controllers

November 4, 2011 20:00 1,419 views 2 Comments

I’ve had the opportunity to visit the Toronto Area Control Centre on two occasions. It was a great experience and made me better understand what goes on on the “other side” of the radio.

I would like to extend an invitation to any air traffic controller or flight service specialist to accompany me on a flight out of Buttonville (CYKZ). I would like to return the favour to allow you to experience what it is like in the cockpit of the aircraft you may be controlling.

The flight can be as quick as a city tour, or something longer like a cross country. It’s up to you.

If you’re interested just submit a comment to this post or drop me a line.

I think you may be surprised to find out how many controllers are also pilots themselves. I was. ;)

Yeah.. But I also know that there are some that have never set foot inside a small aircraft before. :)
