Another CFS Question

April 4, 2008 21:09 241 views 4 Comments

Does anyone know what the suffix “H” means to a runway name?

C means Center

L means Left

R means Right

T means degrees True

But what about H?

UPDATE: I’ve confirmed that this does mean “helicopter” as this airport is a helicopter only airport. See my thread in the avcanada forums for more info

    Hi Blake,
Does the “H” mean for helicopters only?

I too am wondering if this means helicopters only, the chart is not clear as to the meaning.

The RWY section of the CFS says “elongated landing area” instead of an actual runway.
So maybe it is for helicopters only?

I think helicoptors is the most appropriate guess, because the page talks a lot about rotary wing aircraft..
