Porter Flips Toronto the Bird (In a Good Way!)

The Canadian Press is reporting that Porter is going to be having a “ceremonial announcement” on Monday to state to the press and public that the Island Airport “is being revitalized with additional jobs and flights.”

So who is invited?

The event Monday morning at the Toronto City Centre Airport will feature federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, Transport Minister John Baird, Ontario Economic Development Minister Michael Bryant, Toronto Port Authority chairman Mark McQueen, and Porter founder and CEO Robert Deluce, the airline said Thursday. It made no mention of Mayor David Miller.

This is pretty much a “we told you so” and a “f-you” to the protestors and Mr. David Miller for opposing the airline and trying to shutdown the airport.

Hats off to you Mr. Deluce!
